My husband actually asked …. “you made these?!?” before devouring seconds. They were pretty darn good. I use recipes as a inspiration rather than an exact science. So, I did substitute Swiss cheese because it was what I had on hand and added an egg to get the mixture to stick together a bit while baking. These will be on regular rotation in our house from now on .

I was looking for a stuffed mushroom recipe, on a whim, with ingredients that I had on hand (no breadcrumbs), and stumbled upon this one. I have never made them before. OMG… fantastic! I usually get stuffed mushrooms if I see them on a restaurant menu and these rivaled any I have tasted. I made them 3 times within 10 days and they are on the menu again this week. A real hit in the house and so easy!!

Great recipe and yes the stuffed mushrooms are good either hot, warm or room temperature.
