I’ve made this recipe about 12 times over the past 18 months and it never fails! I love the simplicity, and the flavor! Sometimes I use 1 tsp of almond extract instead of vanilla. I always add walnuts and never use sweetener and it’s out of this world. I’ve added chocolate chips a few times and it’s so decadent and delicious.

Amazing recipe! Love how its very similar to a typical banana bread.
I used a dry sugar substitute and it wasnt sweet enough for me even though my bananas were ripened, so i ate it with some butterscotch butter and it was delicious
10/10 would bake this again

I would add 1/3 cup cacao or cocoa powder. Bread will be less sweet, which is fine. You can also add a few more tablespoons of granulated sweetener to add sweetness, but don’t add liquid sweetener because it will throw off batter consistency.

Ovens vary and if yours seem to burning your bread, cover it loosely with foil or parchment. Use more ripe bananas next time for more sweet bread. Enjoy!

It looked quite burned at the top although it just cooked through. I added chocolate chips but still feel it would taste better with more sugar (I used 1/4 brown sugar).

Great wholesome recipe! I used maple syrup, but I cut the portion in half because I can’t tolerate sugar and I thought it was perfect. Keeps well in the fridge and reheated perfectly in the oven making the crust nice and crunchy. Delicious! Will definitely try more recipes.
